LAWTON, Okla. - Hardin-Simmons' sophomore middle blocker Virginia Aguilar has been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America's District VI Women's Volleyball Academic All-District team as voted on by the SIDs in the region.

Aguilar was one of seven players selected to the first team. The middle blocker from Kahleo, Hawaii has a 4.00 GPA as a computer science major. She was one of the Cowgirls top players for the second straight season and was named an honorable mention All-ASC West Division selection.

District VI is comprised of all non-Division I teams in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana. A player has to have a 3.20 GPA and be a starter or significant contributor to the team to be nominated.
