ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons junior middle blocker Virginia Aguilar has been named to the District VI College Sports Information Directors of America college division academic all-district team as voted on by the members of district VI.

The Kahlheo, Hawaii native has a 4.0 GPA in computer science. She was also named the American Southwest Conference Player of the Year and was one of six players on the team out of over 60 nominations.

She will now go on the national ballot for Academic All-American. District VI for CoSIDA consists of schools in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, Louisiana and Mississippi. The college division is all of the teams in NAIA, NCAA Division II and Division III.
