ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' volleyball team will play cross-town rival McMurry in its American Southwest Conference opener Tuesday starting at 7 p.m. at the Kimbrell Arena on the McMurry campus in Abilene.

Freshman middle blocker and outside hitter for the Cowgirls Jenny Brawner leads the team with 114 kills, 230 total attacks, 74 digs, and 32 solo blocks on the season.

Junior setter Kasey Ridings leads the Cowgirls with 269 on the season. Senior Brittoni Reynolds has 59 kills, 173 total attacks, two service aces, 68 digs, and 16 total blocks. Reynolds was named to the All-tournament team at the Austin College Tournament this past weekend.

HSU is 6-3 on the season and McMurry is 7-2 on the year. The Cowgirls six wins matches last season's win total.
