RICHARDSON, Texas - Kasey Ridings, a junior setter for the Cowgirls, was named American Southwest Conference West Division Setter of the Week on Wednesday.

Ridings started and played in all 14 games in the Cowgirls' four matches at the McMurry Classic (Aug. 30-31). Ridings led Hardin-Simmons with 118 assists (8.4 apg) and added 28 digs, six kills and six total blocks to her weekend numbers and helping HSU to a 3-1 season start.

HSU, 3-2, will return to action on Friday, September 13 when it plays the University of Dallas at 4 p.m. at The Austin College Tournament in Sherman, Texas.
