ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' volleyball team opens its season with four matches at Kimbrell Arena on the McMurry campus this weekend.

Friday, the Cowgirls take on Mary Hardin-Baylor at 2:30 p.m, then Jarvis Christian at 5 p.m.

Continuing the season opening tournament, HSU will play Southwest Assemblies of God Saturday at 11 a.m. The Cowgirls' final match at 3 p.m. Saturday is against cross-town rival McMurry.

The Cowgirls are looking to improve their 6-22 record from 2001. HSU is led by a senior class that includes Casey Dowdy, Terri Guajardo, Angie King, Niki Olsen, and Brittoni Reynolds.
