Oct. 31, 2003 ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' volleyball team won its fifth straight match with a 3-0 win over Concordia-Austin, Friday evening in American Southwest Conference action at the Mabee Complex. The Cowgirls won the first game 30-27 and rallied from a 29-27 deficit to win the second game 31-29. HSU finished the match out with a 30-26 win in game three. Freshman Tanner Ellison led the Cowgirls with 16 kills. Kerra LeBlanc led the defense with 21 digs and Lizzie Tomas had 28 assists. The Cowgirls improved to 8-10 in ASC action and 8-17 overall. Concordia fell to 10-18, 5-13. HSU will close out its season with an 11 a.m. match with Mary Hardin-Baylor, Saturday at the Mabee Complex. |
