Cowgirls Close Out Season With a Win

BELTON, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' closed out its volleyball season the way it started by beating Mary Hardin-Baylor, this time was a five-set thriller, 22-30, 30-26, 27-30, 30-23, 15-10 in American Southwest Conference action in Belton.

The Cowgirls closed their initial campaign under head coach Hugh Herenesman with a 9-17 overall mark and a 6-14 record in league play. Cowgirl seniors Kerra LeBlanc and Maggie Barnhill closed their careers with the win. LeBlanc had 24 digs and Barnhill had six kills.

Freshman Chelsea Buetow led the Cowgirls with 18 kills and 27 digs. Virginia Aguilar had 12 total kills. Kimberly Blank led the Crusaders with 27 kills.
