ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' volleyball team concluded its regular season with a 30-26, 30-25, 21-30, 26-30, 15-10 win over Concordia-Austin Saturday afternoon at the Mabee Complex. HSU advanced to the American Southwest Conference Tournament next Friday at Austin College. HSU will play at 5 p.m. against an opponent that will be determined. On Saturday, Taylor McFarland and Virginia Aguilar led the attack with 17 kills. Chelsea Buetow added 14 kills and Megan Lawrence had 14. It was the first significant action for Buetow in over three weeks as she has been nursing an ankle injury. Holly Amerena had 63 assists running the offense Krystal Ziehe had 20 digs for HSU. Michelle Heckman and Sarah Geyer each had 21 kills for CUA. The Cowgirls improved to 18-10 on the year and finished the season 17-3 in league play. --- HSU Athletics --- |
