AUSTIN, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' volleyball team responded from its first conference loss with a pair of wins at the American Southwest Conference crossover, Saturday at Concordia University in Austin. The Cowgirls defeated UMHB 30-22, 30-21, 30-21 in the first game of the day and defeated UT Tyler, 30-16, 30-21, 30-18 in the second match. Cambra Hughes had 13 kills, Kaela Parnell had 12 kills while hitting .571 and Chelsea Buetow had 10 kills for HSU. Amanda Mace led a balanced attack with 10 kills and the team hit .337 as a team. The Cowgirls are now 17-5 on the year and 14-1 in ASC play. They will play at McMurry on Wednesday. |
