Oct. 10, 2003 BROWNWOOD, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' volleyball team went to Howard Payne and pulled off a thrilling five-set win 30-25, 17-30, 19-30, 31-29, 15-10 in American Southwest Conference action. Freshmen Lizzie Tomas and Ali Childers led the Cowgirl effort with nine kills each. Cowgirl defensive specialist Kerra LeBlanc had 31 digs in the match. Tomas just missed a triple-double as she added 22 assists and 10 digs. Sandra Fish led four Yellowjackets in double figures in kills with 19. The Cowgirls improved to 3-12 overall and 3-5 in American Southwest Conference action. Howard Payne fell to 7-9, 3-5. |
