ALPINE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' volleyball team won its ninth straight match with a 30-14, 31-29, 30-25 win over Sul Ross State in American Southwest Conference action, Wednesday night in Alpine. The Cowgirls were fueled by a pair of freshmen. Cambra Hughes led the offense with 14 kills and Gracen Harris had 14 digs. The Cowgirls emptied their bench in the third game. Once again the Cowgirl defense led the way, as Sul Ross only managed 24 kills in the match. HSU improved to 12-4 overall and 9-0 in league play. SRSU fell to 2-13 overall and 1-9 in ASC play. The Cowgirls will return home to host Concordia at 7 p.m. Friday. --- HSU --- |
