Oct. 2, 2002 SEGUIN, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's volleyball team fell to Texas Lutheran in four games, 30-20, 30-20, 18-30 and 30-26, Wednesday night in American Southwest Conference action in Seguin, Texas. Freshman Jenny Brawner led the Cowgirls with 15 kills and had 12 digs, while senior Terri Guajardo, ASC West Hitter of the Week, had 10 kills and led the team with 15 digs. Junior setter Kasey Ridings led with 31 assists and senior Casey Dowdy led with two solo blocks. HSU drops to 5-2 in ASC play and 11-6 overall while Texas Lutheran moves to (5-0, 6-7). The Cowgirls return to action Tuesday, October 8th when they travel to Odessa, Texas to play the College of Southwest at 5 p.m. and the University of Texas at Permian Basin at 7 p.m. |
