ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' dropped its match with Texas lutheran, 3-0 in American Southwest Conference volleyball action at the Mabee Complex on Saturday morning. The Bulldogs came out firing, going up 10-1 in the first game and overcame a scrappy HSU team. The Cowgirls were led by Virginia Aguilar with nine kills and four blocks. Lizzie Tomas had 11 digs. Texas Lutheran was led by Tracy Heathcock with 20 kills. HSU fell to 1-10 overall and 1-2 in ASC West action. Texas Lutheran improved to 9-8 and 5-0 in loop- play. The Cowgirls next play at Concordia-Austin on Oct. 3. |
