Sept. 26, 2002 ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's volleyball team downed Mary Hardin-Baylor in four games, 30-21, 27-30, 30-25 and 30-27, Thursday evening in American Southwest Conference action at the Mabee Complex in Abilene. The Cowgirls were led by a balanced attack with Terri Guajardo recording a double-double (11 kills and 20 digs) and seniors Brittoni Reynolds and Casey Dowdy adding nine and eight kills respectively. Freshman Rebecca Delgado added 11 digs. Laura Sumners paced the Crusaders attack with 16 kils and 16 digs. HSU moved to 9-5 overall and 3-1 in ASC play, while UMHB fell to 7-7 and 2-4. The Cowgirls return to action Saturday when they host Concordia-Austin at 5 p.m. |
