Sept. 11, 2004 ALPINE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' volleyball team dropped its conference opener at Sul Ross State, 30-26, 30-21, 30-26, Saturday afternoon in Alpine. Maggie Barnhill led the Cowgirl attack with 10 kills and Virginia Aguilar had eight kills and nine blocks. Kerra LeBlanc led the defense with 11 digs and Lizzie Tomas added 10 digs and 26 assists. Kim Alcorn and Emerald Setzler led the Lady Lobos with 12 kills each. HSU fell to 2-1, 0-1 with the loss and Sul Ross State improved to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in American Southwest Conference action. HSU returns to action Tuesday for an ASC match at Howard Payne. |
