ABILENE, Texas - Coming off a season that saw them win the American Southwest Conference, the Hardin-Simmons women's tennis team will hit the court for the first time this fall.

The Cowgirls will host Midwestern State, beginning Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Streich Tennis Center.

HSU was 19-5 overall a year ago and went undefeated in conference action. The Cowgirls return five players from a year ago and added a strong recruiting class. The returnees include Nancy Chandler, Candace Simpson Hanes, Stephanie Haynes, Bobbye Thompson and Sarah Bartlett.
