MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Hardin-Simmons sophomore tennis player Rebecca Watkins fell in the first round of the NCAA Individual Tournament, falling to Kristen Raverta of Amherst, 6-3, 6-0 in action Saturday at Rhodes University in Memphis, Tenn.

Watkins teamed with Nancy Chandler in doubles and they fell to the top-seeded and defending national champion team of Mary Ellen Gordon and Jolyn Taylor of Emory University, 6-2, 6-4.

It ended the season for the Watkins at 15-7 in singles. Chandler ended her stellar HSU career.
