ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's tennis team earned an at-large selection into the 2005 NCAA Championships and will begin its run with a match at Trinity on May 8 in San Antonio.

The Cowgirls won the ASC title for the fifth straight season and will play Trinity in the first round for the second straight season. Trinity won the NCAA meeting last season 5-2 in Abilene.

The two teams met on April 2 in San Antonio with Trinity taking a 5-4 decision. HSU won at No. 4, 5 and 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.

HSU is 16-6 on the year and Trinity is 20-3.
