The Hardin-Simmons women's tennis team leaves today for the ITA Regional tournament in Georgetown, Texas. The Cowgirls are expected to be one of the top two teams at the tournament. This tournament will help to determine team as well as individual rankings.

The Cowgirls have two singles seeds and two doubles seeds. Senior Bobbye Thompson and junior Nancy Chandler team up for HSU's No. 1 doubles and are seeded No. 4 in this weekends tournament. HSU's No. 2 doubles team of senior Candace Hanes and Stephanie Haynes are seeded No. 7.

This year's tournament should be one of HSU's strongest showings. The Cowgirls are hoping to complete their journey to the national tournament. Play begins tomorrow morning starting at 8:00a.m at Georgetown High School and Southwestern University.
