Final Stats

TYLER, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's tennis dynasty continued its winning ways at the American Southwest Conference tournament as the Cowgirls defeated UT-Tyler, 5-0, en route to its sixth straight ASC title.

The Cowgirls ran their ASC winning streak to 58 matches in a row with the win and improved their season record to 11-6 and will await word from the NCAA selection committee to see if that is good enough to get them into the NCAA Championships for the third straight year.

Hazel de la Torre won the clinching match with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Nicole Barrett at No. 2 singles. Allison Baker won her match at No. 6 and the Cowgirls swept the doubles matches.

Tracy Henington was named the MVP of the tournament. Allison Baker, de la Torre and McKenzie Swindle were all named to the all-tournament team.
