ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's tennis team moved its American Southwest Conference winning streak to 48 matches and moved to the final of the American Southwest Conference Tournament with a 9-0 win over Howard Payne.

The Cowgirls did not lose a set in the match and the match was decided after doubles and the first three singles match. No. 5 and 6 singles played a pro set to finish the match out as Stephanie Haynes and Sara Beth Bolin each won their matches.

Caroline Scott, Tracy Hennington, Hazel de la Torre and McKenzie Swindle each won single matches in straight sets and the doubles matches were runaways as well.

HSU will go for its fifth straight American Southwest Conference title on Sunday at 1 p.m. when it plays Texas Lutheran, who was a 6-3 winner against Mississippi College in the other semifinal.
