Cowgirls Extend Streak To 64

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's tennis team won its 64th straight American Southwest Conference match with a 9-0 blanking of Texas Lutheran, Saturday afternoon at the Streich Tennis Center.

Tracy Henington remained undefeated in ASC play with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles and an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles with Hazel de la Torre. De la Torre won 6-4, 7-5 at No. 2 singles to also remain undefeated.

Brittany Brazzell, Bria Camarillo and Sara West all routed in their singles matches with no one losing more than three games on the day. Kassidi Langley won at No. 6 by forfeit.

HSU is 9-2 on the year and 6-0 in ASC West action. They can go undefeated in ASC play again with a win over Mary Hardin-Baylor on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Belton. The match is makeup of a scheduled match on Friday that was rained out. Texas Lutheran fell to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in league action.
