ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's tennis team split a pair of matches against Division II teams on Saturday at the Streich Tennis Center, defeating Incarnate Word 5-4 and falling 6-3 to East Central Oklahoma. In the win over Incarnate Word (7-4), the Cowgirls won two of three doubles and lost the other a tiebreaker. Hazel de la Torre, McKenzie Swindle and Allison Baker won singles matches for the Cowgirls at No. 2, 3, and 6 respectively. HSU won two matches in the ECU (15-5) match by default at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles and Bria Camarillo won a third-set over Katrina Cousins to win No. 5 singles. The Cowgirls are now 6-4 on the year and will face their top contender for the ASC West title- Texas Lutheran next Friday in Seguin.
