ALPINE, Texas - The HSU women's tennis team completed their third ASC match this weekend, defeating Sul Ross 9-0. The Cowgirls are now 3-0 in ASC play and 9-4 on the season.

The Cowgirls dominated in doubles winning all three matches. HSU then quickly took two more singles matches to clinch the match before finishing the last four matches.

HSU was led by Junior Nancy Chandler, who defeated Diana Coniceros 6-0, 6-1. At No.2, sophomore Stephanie Haynes defeated Ida Smith 6-0, 6-0 and No. 3 Bobbye Thompson won by default due to injury.

Freshman McKenzie Swindle defeated Christina Arenivas 6-0, 6-0 at No.4, while freshman Allison Baker and Annagrace Fincher won their matches at No. 5 and 6 respectively.

The Cowgirls are looking to continue their success as they return to play this coming weekend with two ASC match-ups. HSU will travel Saturday, March 29th to compete with Howard-Payne at 8:00a.m and Mary-Hardin Baylor at 3:00p.m.
