Final Stats

ABILENE, Texas -- Hardin-Simmons' women's tennis team fell to Midwestern State by a score of 7-2 on a windy Tuesday afternoon at the Streich Tennis Center.

Midwestern State got the ball rolling as they earned all three doubles points. The Cowgirls number one team of Tracy Henington and Hazel de la Torre battled but lost by a score of 9-7.

Sophomore Henington took her match to three sets but finally lost to Brenna Jackson 6-2 in the third frame. Hazel de la Torre also came up really close as she lost two straight games by scores of 7-5 and 7-6.

McKenzie Swindle won her match at number three singles in straight sets by beating Michelle Watson 6-3, 6-1.

Playing at number six singles Alison Baker won her match 8-5 over Leslie Gray.

The loss was the third straight for the Cowgirls as they fall to 5-3 overall. The Cowgirls return to action on Friday when they will play at Abilene Christian.
