CALIFORNIA -

Hardin-Simmons' women's tennis team made its annual trip to California for spring break and came away with four victories, including three over ranked foes.

The Cowgirls defeated seventh-ranked Pomona-Pitzer, 5-4, on Pomona's home court and also knocked off No. 13 Redlands, 6-3, and No. 14 Claremont Mudd-Scripps, 7-2. HSU also defeated Colorado College, 9-0.

With the wins, the Cowgirls are virtually assured a spot in the NCAA Championships in May if they are able to win the ASC Tournament.
