Final Stats

Hardin-Simmons' women's tennis team, moved its American Southwest Conference winning streak to 52 in a row with a 8-1 win over McMurry on Friday afternoon.

The Cowgirls dominated their cross-town rival, only losing one singles match and winning all three doubles matches.

Tracy Henington won the No. 1 singles match 6-1, 6-1 over Amy Torti and paired with Hazel de la Torre to win No. 1 doubles by a score of 8-0 over McMurry's tandem of Veronica Aviroz and Kristen Bray.

De la Torre went on to win her singles match in straight sets playing at No. 2 with a 6-4, 6-0. Senior McKenzie Swindle, playing at No. 3 singles, easily won her match over Kristen Bray with a 6-1, 6-1 score.

None of the matches went to three sets as the Cowgirls rolled to 3-0 on the year and 3-0 in ASC West play. The Cowgirls will host Southwestern on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the Streich Tennis Center.
