ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's tennis team dominated the singles and doubles action of the ASC Individuals Tournament held over the weekend at various sites around Abilene. The Cowgirls had both finalists in flight one and two singles.

Freshmen Tracy Henington and Hazel de la Torre squared off in the top flight singles final and Henington won 6-2, 6-3. Henington had defeated teammate McKenzie Swindle in the semifinals. Stephanie Haynes, the Cowgirls other representative in the bracket, lost her first round match and battled all the way back to the consolation finals - that was not played due to weather.

In flight two, Sara Bolin and Caroline Scott faced off in the finals with Bolin winning 4-6, 7-6 (8-5), 10-4. Both players breezed to the final.

De la Torre and Scott teamed to win flight one doubles over Swindle and Haynes. Henington and Bolin advanced to the semifinals before falling to de la Torre and Henington.
