RICHARDSON, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' had five players honored by the American Southwest Conference in all-conference voting done by the league's head coaches.

Amber Pierce was named first-team All-ASC West as a designated player. The freshman from Odessa hit .300 with a homer and eight RBIs.

Freshman shortstop Ashley Lang, freshman outfielder Miranda Rousett and freshman utility player Keri Ivey earned second-team All-West honors. Freshman catcher Ember Strand was named an honorable mention catcher.

Lang led the team with a .311 batting average and had a team-best 17 RBIs. Miranda Rousett hit .310 while starting 34 games in centerfield and at shortstop. Ivey hit .203 and posted 5-13 mark on the mound. Strand hit .274 on the year with a homer and nine RBIs.

The Cowgirls finished their inaugural campaign at 10-27-1.
