ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' first baseman Sadye Hill was named first-team All-West Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association in voting done by the region's coaches.

It is the fourth time in her career that Hill has earned first-team All-West region honors. She finished the season with a career-best .527 batting average. She had nine home runs and 34 RBIs for the Cowgirls.

She was named first-team All-ASC West Division as well this season. She finished with a career average of .472 with 32 home runs and 161 RBIs. The .472 is a conference record and she finished second all-time in the ASC in hits, home runs and RBIs.

Hill was a second-team All-American last year and was third-team as a freshman. She will go on the All-American ballot along with the other all-region nominees.
