ALPINE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' softball team won its ninth straight game with 15-0 and 2-0 wins over Sul Ross State, Friday night in Alpine. In the first game, Arin Spence moved to 15-2 on the season with her eighth shutout of the season in the 2-0 win. Spence and Hill had the lone RBIs for the Cowgirls. HSU exploded in support of Megan Murrey in the second game. HSU scored five runs in the first seven in the fifth to win 15-0. Spence had a homer, triple and six RBIs. Hill and Nicole Cortez had three hits each for the Cowgirls. The Cowgirls are 22-4 overall and 15-3 in league play. Sul Ross fell to 1-19 overall and 1-13 in league play. They will play a 11 a.m. doubleheader on Saturday. |
