Final Stats

FARMERS BRANCH, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' softball team went 3-1 at the American Southwest Conference Crossover Tournament this weekend in action in Farmer's Branch.

The Cowgirls won two games on Friday, dropping UT-Dallas 7-6 and Ozarks 10-3 in a run-rule effort. On Saturday, the Cowgirls topped Mississippi College 1-0 on Arin Spence's third shutout of the season, and then lost to LeTourneau 6-1.

Miranda Rousset had a big weekend for the Cowgirls going 4-for-10 with two solo home runs. The Cowgirls had five home runs on the weekend. Pitcher/shortstop Arin Spence was 2-0 on the mound. Freshman Sadyie Hill had five RBIs and Courtney Stewart had four RBIs.

The Cowgirls are now 6-2 on the year and will play in the LeTourneau tournament next weekend in Longview.
