ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team is one of 45 teams that has been selected for the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship, the Cowgirls will play Virginia Wesleyan at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va. on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. EST.

A win would put the Cowgirls in the regional finals against the winner of the Washington and Lee-Greensboro match-up. Hardin-Simmons has won 15 straight games, including nine straight shutouts.

HSU earned a bid in the Championships with a 2-0 win over Texas Lutheran in the finals of the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament on Saturday.

The trip to the NCAA Tournament is the first since the Cowgirls went to the Sweet 16 in 2001. HSU is 16-3 on the year and Va. Wesleyan is 18-2-2.
