Bosch And Goold Named Academic All-District By CoSIDA/Verizon

STAMFORD, Conn. - Diana Bosch and Rachel Goold named to the first-team 2002 Verizon/CoSIDA Academic All-District VI Women's Soccer Team.

Diana Bosch, a senior forward and midfielder for the Cowgirls, maintained a 3.66 in Psychology. Bosch is a three-year starter who leads the team with 14 assists on the season and has a new school record of 35 assists in a career.

Sophomore goalkeeper Rachel Goold has a 3.76 in Athletic Training. Goold, a two-year starter, has eight goals allowed, 37 saves and a goal against average of .48 on the season. Goold has a new school record of 23 shutouts in a career.

The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) selects Verizon Academic All-America teams in 12 programs: football, women's volleyball, men's soccer, women's soccer, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, softball, men's track & field/cross country, women's track & field/cross country, men's at-large and women's at large.

The women's soccer players on the All-District VI soccer team will have their nominations forwarded to the national ballot, from which student-athletes will be selected as Verizon Academic All-Americans.

The Verizon Academic All-District VI Women's Soccer Team for the college division recognizes outstanding NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA student-athletes from the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
