RICHARDSON, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team had six players earn accolades for their play this season from the American Southwest Conference in voting done by the league's coaches.

Senior Colt McKee was named first-team All-ASC as a midfielder. Sophomore Cody Oswald was named to the second team as a forward.

Freshman defender Chris O'Brien and senior midfielder Ryan Flanigan were named to the third team. O'Brien was the Cowboys' top defender and Flanigan was the team's captain, but had his season end early after he broke his shin.

Junior goalkeeper Justin Shepherd and sophomore midfielder Collin McDaniel were named honorable mention selections.

HSU, playing with just three upperclassmen, finished the year 8-8-1 and advance to the ASC Tournament. The Cowboys will return all but one starter next year.
