Two Cowgirls Earn CoSIDA Honors

ABILENE, Texas - Two members of the Hardin-Simmons women's soccer team have been named to the College Sports Information Director's of America (CoSIDA) College Division academic all-district VI team.

April Johnson and Beth Craig earned the honor for the Cowgirls. District VI consists of teams from Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico, Mississippi and Louisiana. The College Division consists of teams at the NAIA, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III levels.

Johnson has a 3.94 GPA as a biology pre-med major. She was the goalkeeper on the team. Craig has a 4.0 GPA as a secondary education major. She made the team as a midfielder.

Both will all go on to the national ballot for All-American honors. The team is voted on based on both academic and athletic accomplishments.
