RICHARDSON, Texas - Sarah Shiflett was named American Southwest Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday.

Shiflett, a senior forward for the Cowgirls, scored in the 69th minute and tallied an assist to set-up Hardin-Simmons final score in its 4-0 home-opener win vs. University of Dallas last Friday. The goal and assist were both season firsts for Shiflett.

HSU will return to action on Thursday when it hosts the College of the Southwest at Shelton Stadium at 8 p.m.
