ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons 14th-ranked women's soccer team will open its season with two games this weekend in Atlanta, Ga.

The Cowgirls begin their season on Friday at 7 p.m. against No. 23 Emory University in Atlanta.

Continuing their non-conference season opening weekend, HSU will take on Oglethorpe University, Saturday at 5 p.m.

The Cowgirls are coming off of a 19-4-2 season that saw them advance to the NCAA South Region Finals.

The Cowgirls return six starters including Rachel Goold, the Preseason American Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
