ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons has begun the construction of the soccer field house at the Grape Street complex, just part of an exciting era in HSU Athletics.

The 6,500 square foot fieldhouse will have offices for both men's and women's soccer coaches, a conference room, locker rooms for both the Cowboys and Cowgirls, athletic training facilities and locker rooms for visiting teams. The fieldhouse will also have offices for a track coach along with storage for both the soccer and track programs.

The soccer practice field on Grape Street will be developed this summer and will be ready for practice in August, 2008.

"This begins a new chapter for our soccer programs as for the first time in school history they will have facilities that are their own," said John Neese. "Coach Heger and Coach Wood have both been instrumental in providing feedback on what our student-athletes need in this facility. All of us are excited that both programs will be moving into this wonderful facility."
