Cowgirls Fall To UTD, 1-0 :: HSU Finishes 14-3-1

RICHARDSON, Texas - Serena Griffin scored a goal in the 72nd minute to gave UT-Dallas a 1-0 victory over Hardin-Simmons in the championship game of the American Southwest Conference Women's Soccer Tournament in Richardson on Saturday evening.

Griffin's goal, the first the Cowgirls have given up in 10 games, came off a corner kick, just seconds after HSU had missed an opportunity off of a corner.

The two teams were coming off a 2-2 overtime meeting earlier in the season. The loss ended the Cowgirls season at 14-3-1, UT-Dallas improved to 15-3-2 and will advance to the NCAA Tournament which begins next week.
