Nov. 8, 2002 RICHARDSON, Texas - Diana Bosch's goal propelled the Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team to victory over Austin College 1-0 Friday in the American Southwest Conference Tournament held at UT Dallas in Richardson. Bosch scored the only goal of the game during the 40th minute from an assist by Erica Mays against the 25 mile per hour wind. Goalkeeper Rachel Goold had five saves and recorded her twelfth shutout of the season. This win avenged an earlier season loss to AC on September 24th. The Cowgirls move to 14-2-1 and AC finishes the season with 11-6-3. HSU will play the winner of the UT Dallas vs. Texas Lutheran game Saturday at 5 p.m. The winner of Saturdays game will be the 2002 ASC Champion. |
