Wilson Sets ASC Record as Tigers Advance To Semis

ABILENE, Texas - Janna Wilson scored two goals to set the American Southwest Conference single-season record for goals as East Texas Baptist defeated LeTourneau, 3-2, to advance to the American Southwest Conference semifinals, Friday afternoon at Shotwell Stadium.

Wilson scored in the 17th minute and again in the 48th minute. Kelli Hendley put the Tigers on the board first with a goal in the 14th minute.

Amanda Harrison made the game 2-1 when she scored for LeTourneau in the 39th minute. After Wilson's second goal made it 3-1 Amanda Harrison closed the gap again with a goal in the 53rd minute, but neither team could scored the rest of the game.

East Texas Baptist improved to 13-6-1 on the year and LeTourneau closed its season at 8-12-1.

ETBU will play UT-Dallas in a semifinal at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shotwell Stadium.
