ABILENE, Texas - Austin College moved to the semifinals of the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament with a 2-0 win over Mississippi College, Friday morning at the Hardin-Simmons Soccer Complex. The Lady Roos Holly Messamore, who scored both goals, scored on a rebound off an indirect kick in the 15th minute. She scored on the rebound off a corner in the 67th minute to put the game away. Mallory Pope had eight saves for Mississippi College, while Alyssa Condon pitched a shutout in the pipes with five saves. Austin College out shot MC 19-12 in the game. The Choctaws ended their season with an 11-7 record. Austin College improved to 12-5-1 and will play Hardin-Simmons on Saturday at 8 a.m. |
