Oct. 26, 2002 ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team defeated Mary Hardin-Baylor 9-0 Saturday in American Southwest Conference action at Shelton Stadium. Freshman M.J. Pearl led the team with three goals scored on the Cowgirls last home game of the season. Seniors Jessica Stockton, Christin Cogburn, Katie Montague, and Sarah Shiflett all scored one goal each on senior day. Senior Diana Bosch broke a school record with 33 assists in a career today. Bosch has 14 assists on the season. Sophomore goalkeeper Rachel Goold had four saves and recorded her 11 shutout of the season and 23rd career shutout. HSU moves to 8-0 in ASC action and 13-2-1 overall and UMHB (5-7-2, 4-3-1). The Cowgirls return to action on Saturday when they take on cross-town rival McMurry Saturday, November 2nd starting at noon in their last game of the season. |
