Cowgirls Claim Right To Host ASC Title

PINEVILLE, La. - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team continued its dominating ways with a 9-0 win over Louisiana College to clinch the American Southwest Conference regular-season title and the right to host the ASC Championship in two weeks.

HSU scored early and often. Stefanie Patterson got the Cowgirls on the board in the sixth minute. Beth Craig, Becca Neal, Kelsey Jensen (2) and Reagan Cappella all got on the board in the first half, staking the Cowgirls to a 6-0 lead.

Mollie Porter, April Johnson and Kala Chalman added second-half goals.

HSU improved to 15-1 on the year and 12-0 in ASC play. HSU will play at McMurry on Oct. 30 to close out its regular season.
