CLINTON, Miss. - Hardin-Simmons' 10th-ranked women's soccer team remained perfect in American Southwest Conference play with a 3-0 win over Mississippi College, Friday afternoon in Clinton, Miss. Mindi Zamora gave the Cowgirls the lead in the 30th minute. Kala Chalman put the Cowgirls ahead 2-0 a minute before halftime and Whitney Piendak found the net one minute into the second half on an assist from Stefanie Patterson. Rachel Goold played all 90 minutes in goal to record her 32nd career shutout. The Cowgirls moved to 14-1 on the year and 11-0 in ASC play. They can clinch first place and the right to host the ASC Tournament with a win over winless Louisiana College on Saturday. Mississippi College fell to 10-5 overall and 6-4 in league play. |
