ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' 10th-ranked women's soccer team shutout its 12th opponent of the year with a 2-0 non-conference win over the College of the Southwest, Tuesday evening at Shelton Stadium. The Cowgirls posted both goals in the first half, the first a Mollie Porter header off a corner kick from Kala Chalman in the ninth minute. Mindi Zamora scored on a rebound from Marissa Wichkoski in the 25th minute. Rachel Goold and April Johnson split halves in goal for the Cowgirls. HSU improved to 13-1 on the season and College of the Southwest fell to 7-7 on the year. HSU plays at Mississippi College on Friday. |
