Cowgirls Score Six Goals To Defeat Ozarks

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer remained undefeated in American Southwest Conference play with a 6-0 win over the University of the Ozarks, Saturday afternoon at the HSU Soccer Complex.

Whitney Piendak scored a pair of goals in the first six minutes of the game and the Cowgirls were never threatened, as they outshot the Eagles 55-0 in the game.

Morgan Loyd scored a pair of goals for the Cowgirls and Amy Kuykendall and Mindi Zamora each found the net once. Zamora had a pair of assists and Loyd and Kuykendall also added a helper each.

Christi Carr and Ashley Jackson each worked a scoreless half in goal.

The win moved the Cowgirls unbeaten streak to 77 in a row in conference play. HSU is now 9-0-3 and 7-0-1 in league play. Ozarks fell to 5-6-2 and 2-4-0 in conference action.
