BELTON, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team defeated Mary Hardin-Baylor 7-0 in American Southwest Conference action Saturday afternoon in Belton, Texas.

Junior Jessica Stockton and sophomore Mollie Porter each scored two goals for the Cowgirls, while sophomore Laura Freeman, junior Alyssa Wester and senior Katie Montague scored one goal each. This is Montague's first goal of the season.

Freshman Cathy Castagnos led the team with three assists while sophomore goalkeeper Rachel Goold had two saves and recorded her sixth shutout of the season.

HSU moves to 5-0 in ASC action and 8-2-1 overall and UMHB drops to 2-1-1 in conference play and 3-4-2 overall.

The Cowgirls return to action on Tuesday when they host the University of Texas at Permian Basin starting at 6 p.m. at Shelton Stadium.
