Cowgirls Win Second Straight

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team scored three first half goals en route to a 4-0 win over the University of Dallas Friday at Shelton Stadium.

The Cowgirls received first half goals from Christin Cogburn, freshman M.J. Pearl and sophomore Mollie Porter in the 12th, 26 and 38th minute respectively. Pearl's goal was the first of her career and Porter's came off a penalty kick.

Sarah Shiflett scored in the 69th minute to set up the final score.

Sophomore goalkeeper Rachel Goold recorded her second straight shutout in goal. The shutout was the 14th in her career moving her within one of the school record of 15.

HSU moves to 2-1 on the season and UD fell to 2-1 on he year. HSU will return to action Thursday when they host the College of the Southwest at 8 p.m.
